Rachel Melis

I have been drawing Port Wing landscapes since my family moved to the area when I was twelve. I look forward to returning for the Plein Air festival all summer. During the school year, I teach biological illustration, printmaking, graphic design, and book arts at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University in Minnesota. My drawings, prints, and books have been in numerous exhibitions, and I am currently working on a picture book about a shy child moving to a new home.
