Sounds of Art: $200
A special prize will be awarded for the painting that best depicts the sounds of nature. When painting ‘en plein air’, one is surrounded by the aural while interpreting the visual. A painting can evoke these sounds in the observer’s mind: rattling, waving, rustling, blowing, chirping, lapping, splashing. The person sponsoring this award will decide which painting best evokes these sounds.
